Guests begin to arrive for Wilhelmina's wedding

February 4, 1901

Numerous royal guests are beginning to arrive in the Hague to attend the wedding of Queen Wilhelmina and Duke Heinrich of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, reports the New York Times.  The Queen, accompanied by her mother, Queen Emma, and her fiance, met Grand Duke Vladimir of Russia, his daughter, Grand Duchess Helen, and his son, Grand Duke Boris, at the train station this afternoon.
Wilhelmina was "warmly cheered" as she drove through the streets to the station.
Princess Luise of Wied, the Hereditary Prince and Princess of Wied and the Prince and Princess of Bentheim-Steinfurt also arrived today.
The Queen and Duke Heinrich have been given the Roumanian Grand Cross of the Order of the Star and Duke Heinrich has also received Sweden's Order of the Seraphim.
